Loren Gray

Gray had been inspired acquaintances to start her social media experience, but she was able to achieve more accomplishment than their friends did. Her mother used the app only to observe her. Loren's popularity on musical.ly expanded to other social networks. The YouTube videos she made were posted on YouTube by random people who reacted to them. Gray became a star, but not all of her peers were impressed. They turned against Gray instead of cheering her on. Many of her acquaintances deleted their Facebook accounts and began bullying her. Loren spoke in a UPROXX interview: "They wrote horrible things about me, saying I was rude, that I had lip fillers and performed work. I was albino and was anorexic. Some people were saying that they were going to drive me to the point that I was in the school's bathroom calling my mom telling me I was afraid." Loren's mom became worried about the state of her mental health and opted to get her from school. Loren was not able to see her daughter struggle in the school as a result of other students.
