Tessa Thompson

Tessa Lynn Thompson is an American actress, born September 3rd, 1983 in Los Angeles. She is a daughter of Marc Anthony Thompson (a singer/songwriter) and granddaughter Bobby Ramos, an actor/musician. Her birthplace was in Los Angeles and raised there before moving to Brooklyn. Her mother is Mexican and British Isles roots, while her father is Afro-Panamanian. Thompson was a part of many productions during her time at Santa Monica High School. She attended Santa Monica College after graduation with a cultural and Anthropology degree. In a performance at Pasadena's Boston Court Theatre, she performed the role of Juliet in William Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet". The same year, her performance won the NAACP Theatre Nomination.
