Leighton Meester was born in the United States of America. She is an American musician, actor and music producer. She is known to many for her portrayal of Blair Waldorf, in the TV show Gossip Girl. Leighton Meester started her career as a child. She was featured on an local stage production called Wizard of Oz during her early years. This led to her love for acting was heightened. She has appeared in many films, among them Lilith Kings of Summer Miss Stevens The Good Neighbors The First Hope as well as TV shows like Law And Order: Special Victims Unit or Surviving Jack. She was close to quitting acting at one point of her career due to depression. Then she was cast in the role of sweet Betty Cooper on the hit TV show Riverdale and was awarded numerous prizes. She frequently speaks out about the issue of depression and stresses the significance of a good mental health.
